As the spooky season quickly approaches, so does the number of events we all can attend. While everyone loves the traditional apple bobbing and pumpkin picking, there’s an abundance of Halloween events in Connecticut to enjoy! From family-friendly attractions, to haunted attractions, to simple trick or treating fun– find out what you can do this week.
Halloween Hoopla – Torrington, CT (October 29, 2025)
Get ready as Halloween Hoopla sneaks into town, where you can trick or treat at downtown businesses with a DJ and fun games available! All around downtown Torrington, specifically the Franklin Plaza and Nutmeg Fudge Company from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, keep an eye out as you can interact with dancers and stilt walkers while enjoying the fall breeze.

Haunted Hayride – Shelton, CT (October 30 & November 1, 2025)
If you need a good scare, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, you can experience a haunted farm with horrifying additions, with haunted attractions and a nighttime trail. You’re sure to have a fright! While bags aren’t allowed, your courage is! Tickets can be purchased online or in person, but online purchases are encouraged to ensure you have a spot for a good night’s scare.
The Forsaken Lands Outdoor Haunted Attraction – Goshen, CT (October 31 & November 1, 2025) 
On Halloween night, The Forsaken Lands Outdoor Haunted Attraction rises from its rest and is available to attend! For the brave, on Saturday, November 1st, their Blackout Night takes place, where you can only use one glow stick as your source of light, ensuring a true haunted experience for thrill seekers. Opening begins at 6:30 PM, and it is advised not to arrive too early, giving you time to prepare yourself for the scare. Tickets are available online, and more details can be found on their website!
Trunk or Treat – Waterbury, CT (October 29, 2025)
For the whole family, the Waterbury Police Activity League is holding its annual trunk or treat, where kids can dress up and get candy from the spooky decorated trunks, with music and more spooky fun included! From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, kids can have fun by going trunk to trunk and getting their sweets, with music playing throughout the event.
Costume Skate at Roller Magic – Waterbury, CT (October 29 & October 31, 2025)
For all ages, you can roll on to the skating rink with a costume! Roller magic has drinks, food, and costume judging available during the event. The 29th has a fee that is $6 less than the usual pay on the 31st from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, so don’t miss it! The second day has a late-night skate for all ages from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, but it still holds all the fun.
