Hey Raiders! Break out the sunglasses, turn off your alarm clocks, and pack away the backpacks—summer is officially here.
As another school year at Torrington High School came to a close, students and staff marked the ending with traditions that celebrated both the journey and the future ahead. For the Class of 2026, the final weeks were filled with reflection, community, and unforgettable moments.
Senior Sunset gave students one last chance to come together as classmates before graduation, sharing memories and looking ahead to what comes next. That spirit carried into graduation night, where student speakers Brendan Keskula, Kajeda Fraser, Angelina Ciesco, and Matthew Tsai reflected on the strength of their class, the importance of community, and the accomplishments that brought them to this milestone. Each speaker focused on celebrating the bonds they built while encouraging their classmates to embrace the opportunities ahead.
Principal Brian Scott, who has served as the seniors’ principal since seventh grade, spoke about how much they have grown over the years and the legacy they are leaving behind at THS. In a heartfelt reminder, he told graduates that no matter where life takes them, they can “always come home.”
Faculty speaker Pat Richardson thanked the senior class for the energy, spirit, and lessons they brought to the school community, reminding everyone that the class had taught the faculty just as much as they had learned.
One of the evening’s most emotional moments came when seniors Nathan Pepler and Sophia Sedlak performed “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, leaving not a dry eye in the house.
As the caps flew and the goodbyes were said, the Class of 2026 left behind a legacy of resilience, spirit, and community. Now, for the rest of the Raiders, summer awaits—and with it, a well-earned break before the next chapter begins.
