During April break our THS travel club went on an excursion to Eastern Europe to visit Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. During this trip we had so many fun experiences and made countless memories, so much so that we wanted to share some of it with the rest of THS. Click through the gallery below for pictures of the event and a day by day break down of the trip:

Day One of Ireland! We were all a little tired from the long overnight flight from New York, to Reykjavík Iceland, to Dublin Ireland, but that didn’t stop us from checking out the city! From there we checked out Trinity College, took selfies with Molly Malone, and maybe even crashed a Scottish wedding…

Day 2 in Ireland! On our second day we took the time to really get a feel for Dublin both through tours and at our own leisure. We got to visit the notorious St. Patricks cathedral, took pictures with Oscar Wilde’s statue, and even got a chance to watch an Irish show by songwriter Rob Vickers!

Day 3 of Ireland! From Dublin to Belfast we embarked on a voyage from one city to the next, from Ireland to Norther Ireland. Here we explored a historically British city, Belfast, and viewed the titanic museum.

Day 4 of Ireland! During our last day in Ireland, we visited Belfast one last time on an emotional tour about the turmoil in the city and had the opportunity to sign the Peace Wall. Afterward we visited the dark hedges where scenes from GOT were shot, and then we headed towards the giants causeway at the coast of Ireland.

Day 1 of Scotland! We Raiders voyaged by ferry and besieged the land by bus, through Scotland all the way to Edinburgh. Was the travel worth it? Of course it was! We got the chance to explore the city for a few hours, eat some food, and take loads of pictures. But alas, we had to head in for the night.

Day 2 in Scotland! For our second day in Scotland we headed ourselves back to its capital city. Starting from Holyroodhouse Palace, we headed our way up the royal mile to the castle. After we took the castle by storm, we scattered around the city exploring various landmarks including ancient grave marks, cathedrals, and much, much more. Unfortunately there was so much that it’d be impossible to share it all.

Overall this was quite the trip to remember. If you ever get the chance we definitely recommend that you sign up for one!
Despite all of the events that happened during the trip, it was quite peaceful. The countless fields of sheep and cattle and lush green mountains overlaying the land gave a serene warmth. Moreover, one of the biggest fears about spending so much time in Scotland and Ireland was the rain. However, despite being known for their bogginess, we were able to enjoy sunny weather throughout most the trip.
