Friday’s senior prom, themed Under the Lanterns, was a magical celebration of friendship and style, as well as the closing chapter of high school for the THS Class of 2025. Held at the elegant Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, the night brought together students dressed in their finest to make memories that will last long after graduation.
Despite a gloomy forecast, the rain held off long enough for pre-prom photo sessions at popular spots like Topsmead State Forest and the venue’s gardens. Inside, a buffet dinner offered a variety of favorites, giving students a chance to relax and mingle before pushing to plates aside to hit the dance floor.
Once the music started, the energy in the room soared. From early 2000s throwbacks to current chart-toppers, the DJ kept the crowd moving all night long. Students danced, posed for photo booth snapshots, and shared heartfelt moments with their classmates and dates. Some paused to reflect on how quickly the last four years had flown by, while others simply soaked in the celebration of being together, one last time.
Prom night was more than just a dance—it was a farewell to childhood, a salute to the Class of 2025, and a reminder of the joy that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself. For many, Under the Lanterns truly lived up to its name, offering a glowing, unforgettable evening beneath the soft shimmer of light and the warmth of shared memories.
