THS students participated in Southwest School’s annual Culper Spy Ring event on Thursday, June 5. According to Southwest Elementary teacher Pauline Palladino, “Both the Southwest and THS students enjoyed working together to help gather intelligence for George Washington.”
During the activity, Palladino explained, “the ‘spies’ successfully avoided being captured by the British Redcoats patrolling the hallways, thereby successfully saving the American Revolution!”
THS teachers Mr. Zwart and Mrs. Zwart attended with the student volunteers and added some theater to the mix, wearing revolutionary-era garb to bring authenticity to the activity.
