Think of the sunset with this year’s Golden Hour Prom
Prom season is finally around the corner, and this year’s theme, “Golden Hour,” gives the perfect time to dress up and have fun. Golden hour is all about the perfect sunset glow, the kind of lighting that makes everything look better.
When it comes to colors, think warm and glowy like Gold, Champagne, and Bronze, but softer tones like Blush, Peach, and Rose Gold also fit the theme perfectly. If you even want to stand out, deeper colors like Emerald green, Navy, or even a classic black with gold jewelry can look just as good. Gold jewelry can always top it up a notch.
For dresses, anything that catches light would be perfect like sequins or satin. Even simple styles like flowy dresses can give that dreamy vibe, while sparkly or even more detailed dresses will stand out under the light. For suits, you can keep it classic or switch it up with a black suit with gold details or even a lighter color like tan or cream to really match the sunset vibe. Small things like a tie, watch or chain can pull your whole look together without doing too much.
If you really wanna complete the look, accessories and details are really the way to go. Glowy makeup, gold jewelry, or even a little sparkle to add to that golden feel. You also want to make sure to be comfortable throughout the whole night when it comes to shoes, because you actually want to enjoy the night instead of worrying about a blister.
Don’t forget the best part about golden hour isn’t just about how you look – it’s also about feeling confident and having a good time. Golden hour doesn’t last forever, and neither does prom, so make the most of it.
Take pictures outside! Especially right before the sunset. Stepping into the glow and enjoying the golden moment.
