Need a penny for your thoughts? Unfortunately, November 12, 2025, was the last batch of circulating pennies, which ended over 230 years of production due to increased production costs. The government will no longer continue producing pennies; however, the coin is still able to be used for purchases. In stores, exact change is needed and many stores have already rounded up to the nearest 5 cents, increasing prices.
