Mrs. McGillicuddy’s Integrated Science course is exploring motion and forces. After a tennis ball and a marble/paper cup collision labs, students read an article about the WNBA from Science World Magazine called, “She shoots, she scores!”. Then, they explored the forces acting on basketballs in the cafe by dribbling, bounce-passing, and shooting. They will follow up with a force analysis and will create a flip book outlining and illustrating forces like friction, air resistance, spring force, and tension.
