Vincent Mazza, AKA Vinny, a sophomore at THS, has created a name for himself throughout the school. He’s expanded his talent beyond the hallways and has taken to social media as well.(@shotsbymazza + _shotsbymazza).
His popularity stems from recognition by his peers and teachers for capturing candid moments at sporting events and school events, such as our recent pep rally and homecoming dance.
With no photographer influences, Vinny describes his journey as short, considering he only started last October, but fulfilling in the sense that it captures what he’s truly interested in; “My favorite… is football. It has the most action out of all the sports.”
Ms. Strahowski, the runner of the THS Raiders Instagram proudly says “[He’s] grown so much in his abilities and confidence” and that “he has a real future in following this.”
He makes the fellow students of THS’ sports teams feel seen, as he photographs them candidly during games and/or practices. Senior Joseph Daniel recognizes Vinny’s efforts to shine a light on his performance and states “It makes me happy to check. . . and see a picture in general posted about me because it creates pictures to hold and remember”.
